Wovex Academy — Terms of Use

1. About Wovex Academy

Wovex Academy is an educational service provided by Wovex Limited (company number 08553412), 1010 Cambourne Business Centre, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB23 6DP, United Kingdom.

These terms apply to Wovex Academy courses, lessons and downloadable learning resources delivered through our learning website.

These Academy terms are distinct from the commercial licence terms for Wovex software. If you choose to use Wovex software or another third-party service, its separate terms may also apply.

2. Registration and course access

You may browse public Academy information without enrolling. To access restricted lessons and downloads, you may need to create an individual learner account and enrol in the relevant course.

Enrolment in one course does not automatically enrol you in every Academy course.

Provide accurate registration information, keep your sign-in details secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account, except where caused by our failure to take reasonable care.

Courses described as free are provided without a course fee. If paid courses are introduced, the relevant price and additional conditions will be shown before you commit to them.

3. Permitted use of learning materials

You may read and use Academy learning materials for your own education and your organisation's internal professional development.

You may download and adapt templates, including the Wovex Benefits Register Starter workbook, for use within your own organisation.

You may share a link to a course so that colleagues can register separately.

Unless we give written permission, you may not resell, publish or distribute Academy lessons or unmodified resource packs as your own training product, or reproduce them in an external commercial course.

4. Intellectual property and automated extraction

The Academy's original lessons, illustrations, videos, designs and downloadable resources are owned by Wovex Limited or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.

The permission in section 3 does not transfer ownership of those materials.

Except as permitted by law or expressly authorised in writing, do not systematically scrape, bulk extract or republish Academy content, build datasets from it, or use it to train or fine-tune AI or machine-learning models.

Do not attempt to bypass access controls or interfere with the learning service.

5. Practical guidance, not a guarantee

The Academy provides general educational guidance. Examples are illustrative, and fictional examples should not be treated as verified data.

Learners are responsible for checking measures, assumptions, policies, decisions and any AI-generated suggestions before applying them to real work.

Unless a particular course explicitly says otherwise, participation does not provide a professional qualification, accreditation or endorsement by any government body.

Wovex does not guarantee particular project or business outcomes from using the materials.

6. Appropriate behaviour and information

Use the Academy lawfully and respectfully.

Do not upload confidential organisational documents, personal data about other people or sensitive material unless a course explicitly provides a suitable approved method for doing so.

Do not use another learner's account or interfere with another person's access.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security threats, misuse or serious breaches of these terms. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Academy useful and available, but courses, files, features and platform access may change or occasionally be unavailable.

We may update or retire free courses and will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practical.

Please retain your own copy of any completed workbook you need for your work.

8. Liability and your legal rights

We take reasonable care in providing the Academy.

We are not responsible for decisions made without appropriate professional review of the educational materials.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or affects any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.

9. Privacy and communications

We handle learner information as described in the Wovex Academy Privacy Notice and our wider privacy information at https://wovex.com/privacy-policy/.

Course access and service emails are separate from optional marketing communications.

You may decline marketing without losing access to a free course.

11. Updates to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the Academy or applicable law.
